NAWA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Champions JOE ANGELO GARCIA & COREY SATURN beat DOBERMAN & BIG JOHN FAMOUS when Saturn pinned Famous to retain the belts.  Doberman and Famous argued after the match, and then it got physical, ending up with Doberman running from the ring and Famous demanding that Killer Tim Brooks sign a match between himself and Doberman for next month.  Brooks agreed, making it a no-DQ, no-countout, no holds barred match.

NAWA BIG TIME PRO WRESTLING - TEXAS TOUGH MAIN EVENT
NAWA TEXAS HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
ZACK JACKSON beat Champion NOBE BRYANT by disqualification.  The rookie Jackson had a large cheering section from Southwest Assemblies of God University (SAGU) in Waxahachie, where he plays defensive end on the football team.  Bryant punched Referee Ric Manning and knocked him down.  Almost immediately, Jackson picked Bryant up in the Torture Rack, and Bryant tapped out.  Manning got up and called for the bell.  Brooks entered the ring and asked Manning who won.  Manning said Jackson won by disqualification, so Bryant keeps the title.  Brooks told Bryant he didn’t like how the champion took the coward’s way out, so he was turning next month’s three-way into a four-way for the belt, with Cowboy Adam, Billy Club, Zack Jackson and Nobe Bryant.

The next show is scheduled for Saturday, May 4 at the NAWA Arena in Waxahachie.

BILLY CLUB beat LI FANG, CHRIS CROSS & TEJANO KID.

NAWA TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH – TEXAS TORNADO RULES (ALL FOUR MEN IN THE RING), I QUIT MATCH
JOE ANGELO GARCIA & COREY SATURN beat Champions DOBERMAN & BIG JOHN FAMOUS to win the belts.  The match could only end when one of the four wrestlers said, “I QUIT!”  The challengers hung Doberman upside down in the ropes and then combined for a Boston Crab and a Camel Clutch on Famous.  Big John said everything in the book but “I Quit” until he finally said the magic words.  As Killer Tim Brooks was interviewing the new champions, Doberman and Famous attacked them, but Garcia and Saturn came back with dropkicks and ran the former champions out.

NAWA TEXAS HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH
Champion NOBE BRYANT beat COWBOY ADAM to retain the belt.  Adam kicked out of Bryant’s Real Deal, but, moments later, Bryant got the pin with a victory roll.  After the match, Brooks informed Bryant that he had two minutes to prepare for the Battle Royal.  Bryant protested, and Brooks told him he should have read the last section of the contract he signed to defend his belt tonight, saying he would be in the Battle Royal.

NAWA BIG TIME PRO WRESTLING MAIN EVENT – BATTLE ROYAL
BIG ZACK JACKSON won the Battle Royal.  The winner gets a shot at Nobe Bryant’s Texas title next month.  Included in the match were Ace, Cowboy Adam, Nobe Bryant, Bulldozer, Billy Club, Chris Cross, Doberman, Big John Famous, Li Fang, Joe Angelo Garcia, Big Zack Jackson, Reggie Lifestyles, the Ogre, Corey Saturn and Tejano Kid.  The final two were Famous and Jackson.  Famous clotheslined Jackson over the top rope, but he landed on the apron, and then he headscissored Famous over the top.  The two men fought on the apron.   Famous charged towards Jackson, who managed to sidestep him while hanging onto the top rope, and Famous hit the ringpost and hit the floor, making Jackson the winner in his NAWA debut.  Bryant attacked Jackson, but Jackson turned things around and drove the Texas champion out of the ring.  On April 6th, Jackson challenges Bryant for the Texas belt.

The next show is scheduled for Saturday, April 6 at the NAWA Arena in Waxahachie.

Champions DOBERMAN & BIG JOHN FAMOUS beat JOE ANGELO GARCIA & COREY SATURN when Doberman pinned Saturn on a cross body block roll through.  After the match, Doberman gave the rookies credit for nearly beating them.  Famous responded by saying “they didn’t nearly beat US, they nearly beat YOU!” and then stormed out.  Doberman said he would quit before giving Garcia and Saturn a rematch, and he said it several times.  Killer Tim Brooks said he would give Garcia and Saturn a return match next month, and, since Doberman was so adamant about quitting, he will make it an I Quit Match.

NAWA TEXAS HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
NOBE BRYANT beat Champion COWBOY ADAM to win the belt, using Adam’s own finisher, the 8-Second Ride, for the pin.  Brooks granted Adam a rematch next month, and Bryant got in Killer’s face and said he was sick and tired of Brooks telling him what to do.  Brooks asked Bullman Downs to hand him two plastic bags from ringside.  He said his rehab for his back would be completed in two months.  The bags contained Brooks’ boots, trunks and wrestling gear, which he had put away 10 years ago.  He said that when his rehab is finished, he’ll put the gear on one more time for a match with Bryant.

The next show is the Anniversary Show scheduled for Saturday, March 2 at the NAWA Arena in Waxahachie.

BILLY CLUB pinned TEJANO KID.  Tejano called the win a fluke and wanted a rematch, and Club accepted the challenge.

SIX-MAN TAG, TWO OUT OF THREE FALLS
COWBOY ADAM, JOE ANGELO GARCIA & COREY SATURN beat NOBE BRYANT, DOBERMAN & BIG JOHN FAMOUS, two falls to one.  Match stipulations were that, if Garcia or Saturn beat Doberman or Famous in a fall, they would get a Tag Team Title match.  And, if Bryant beat Adam in a fall, he would get a Texas title shot.  Adam pinned Doberman to win the first fall.  Bryant pinned Adam to win the second fall, so Bryant gets a title match with Adam on next month’s card.  During the one-minute rest period, Bryant left the ring, saying he got what he wanted and there was no reason to stay.  In the third fall, Saturn pinned Famous to earn a tag title shot for himself and Garcia.

The next show is scheduled for Saturday, February 2 at the NAWA Arena in Waxahachie.

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR MATCH
JOE ANGELO GARCIA pinned COREY SATURN to win the first-place trophy.  Before the match, Big John Famous came to the ring and argued that he should also be in the match since he’s a rookie.  Killer Tim Brooks argued that Famous was already co-holder of the NAWA Tag Team titles and didn’t need to compete for Rookie of the Year.  Famous then said he wanted to referee the match and asked partner Doberman to bring his referee shirt to the ring.  Brooks wouldn’t allow that, but he said Famous could be guest commentator alongside Rob Moore.  The match proceeded without incident, with Garcia winning.  The first- and second-place awards were presented, and fans were clamoring for Garcia and Saturn to form a tag team and challenge Doberman & Famous.

NAWA TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
Champions DOBERMAN & BIG JOHN FAMOUS beat CASEY CAIN & BILLY CLUB to retain the belts.

NAWA BIG TIME PRO WRESTLING – TEXAS TOUGH MAIN EVENT
NAWA TEXAS HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH
Champion COWBOY ADAM pinned NOBE BRYANT to retain the belt.  Brooks, Bullman Downs and referee Speed Bump conferred at ringside during the match.  Bryant went for a splash on Adam in the corner but sandwiched referee Ric Manning, knocking him out.  Bryant got under the ring and pulled out a bag of powder.  He poured it into his hands, but Adam kicked Bryant’s hands, sending the powder into Bryant’s face.  Adam rolled him up and Manning recovered to make the three-count.  After the match, Bryant demanded that Manning disqualify Adam and give him the belt because Adam threw the powder in his face.  Manning inspected Bryant’s hands and found powder but found none on Adam’s hands, so the decision stood.  Brooks called out the tag team champions and then Garcia & Saturn.  He said the NAWA staff had decided that, at the next card on Saturday, January 5, there would be a six-man tag match, two out of three falls.  If Garcia & Saturn beat Doberman & Famous, they get a tag title shot.  And, if Bryant beats Adam, he gets a Texas title shot.

The next show is scheduled for Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the NAWA Arena.

COWBOY ADAM pinned Champion NOBE BRYANT to win the belt.  Bryant had tried to pin Adam twice with his feet on the ropes, but Adam kicked out each time.  When Adam made the cover on Bryant, the Cowboy put his feet on the top rope and scored the 1-2-3 without Senior Official Ric Manning seeing it.  Bryant attacked Adam from behind and piledrove him onto the belt.  Bryant questioned Killer Tim Brooks, who said he saw nothing.  Brooks did tell Bryant that he was entitled to a rematch.

COWBOY ADAM beat NAWA Texas Heavyweight Champion NOBE BRYANT by disqualification.  The stipulations of the match said that if Adam wins, he gets a title match against Bryant.  But, if Bryant wins, Adam would have to leave the NAWA.  Twice, Bryant had Adam pinned but picked him up before the three count.  When he did it a third time, Bryant and referee Speed Bump got into an argument.  That turned into a shoving match, and Bryant picked Bump up and bodyslammed him.  Senior Referee Ric Manning came out and called for the bell, disqualifying Bryant.  Killer Tim Brooks entered the ring and heard Bryant say that, since Adam did not pin him or make him submit, the Cowboy would have to leave the promotion.  Brooks disagreed, saying that Manning raised Adam’s hand; therefore, Adam gets the title shot at the next show on November 3rd.  Bryant again made his challenge to Brooks for a match and said Killer could even have Manning in his corner.  Brooks told Bryant that, if he was so tough, how about facing Brooks with one arm tied behind his back.  Bryant didn’t like that idea, and he got his belt and left.

The next NAWA Big Time Pro Wrestling show is scheduled for Saturday, November 3 at the NAWA Arena, a/k/a the Killer-Torium, in Waxahachie, Texas.

I guess the NWA apple cart is being turned over and given a real good shake.  Since the change in ownership, there have been promotions jumping ship and promotions jumping on.  Time will tell how all this affects business.

For the record, I was at the show and enjoyed it.  There was some solid talent there, and they have Raven scheduled to come in on November 2.

COREY SATURN beat JOE ANGELO GARCIA, JUSTIN PAIN and REGGIE LIFESTYLES.

COWBOY ADAM beat BILLY CLUB.

Killer Tim Brooks invited Franco D’Angelo to come to the ring.  D’Angelo, walking on a cane, recounted the horrific auto accident that has kept him out of action for months with a variety of injuries. He was the NAWA Texas Champion at the time of his accident and claimed to still be the champion, since he never lost it in the ring.  Brooks brought up the NAWA bylaws that said a champion had to give up his belt if he could not appear for a scheduled title match, but then he said that, when D’Angelo is ready, he’ll sign him for a title match as his first match back.

NAWA TEXAS TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
DOBERMAN & BIG JOHN FAMOUS beat Champions CASEY CANE & SCOTT MURDOCH to win the belts.  Murdoch missed on a charge and hit shoulder-first on the ringpost.  Doberman then hoisted Cane on his shoulders, and Famous hit a flying spear off the top turnbuckle and scored the winning pinfall.  Doberman emphasized after the match that he was now a four-time NAWA Tag Team Champion.  Brooks granted Cane and Murdoch a rematch, set for October 6.

Before the next match started, Brooks and NAWA Texas Heavyweight Champion Nobe Bryant had another showdown in midring.  Brooks said he had his scheduled back surgery and is now in rehab, and he said he cannot take any blows to the back for six months to a year.  But, he said, when he’s ready, he’d like to meet Bryant in a match.  Bryant wanted the match, repeatedly calling Brooks “old man.”

NAWA BIG TIME PRO WRESTLING – TEXAS TOUGH MAIN EVENT
NAWA TEXAS HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH
CHRIS CROSS beat Champion NOBE BRYANT by disqualification; Bryant keeps the belt.  The cruiserweight Cross held his own against the champion before Bryant’s superior size and experience began to wear Cross down.  Twice, Bryant went for the cover, only to pick Cross up at two.  After the second time, referee Ric Manning called for the bell and disqualified the champion.  As Bryant and Manning argued, Brooks got in the ring and covered Cross to protect him.  Bryant left the ring and grabbed a steel folding chair.  Bullman Downs tried to intervene, but Bryant laid him out with a pair of chairshots to the midsection and back.  Bryant raised the chair to whack Brooks in the back, but Cowboy Adam charged out, grabbed the chair from behind and brought it straight down onto Bryant’s head.  Adam challenged Bryant to a non-title match, having already had two shots at Bryant’s title.  If Adam beats him, he gets another title shot.  But, if Bryant wins, Adam must leave NAWA.  Brooks signed the match for October 6.

DOBERMAN beat JOE ANGELO GARCIA.  After the match, Doberman mocked Garcia’s Hispanic heritage, and Garcia retaliated to drive Doberman from the ring.

SPEAR MATCH – LOSER CAN NO LONGER USE THE SPEAR
BIG JOHN FAMOUS beat ALL-AMERICAN MADD DOGG.  As Madd Dogg set up to spear Famous, Doberman sneaked up from behind and grabbed Dogg’s leg, enabling Famous to hit the spear and get the 1-2-3.  Doberman put a crown on Famous’s head, signifying that he’s now King of the Spear.  Dogg then speared Famous.  Killer Tim Brooks reminded Dogg that he can’t use the spear anymore, but Dogg said that was his All-American Patriot Harpoon.  Doberman and Famous double-teamed Dogg and left the ring.

NAWA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Champions CASEY CAIN & SCOTT MURDOCH beat BARRETT BROWN & BILLY CLUB to retain the belts.  After the match, Doberman and Famous came out and made a challenge to the champions, with Doberman getting in a few insults to Murdoch’s size.  The champs accepted, and Brooks signed the match to take place September 1st.

NAWA BIG TIME PRO WRESTLING – TEXAS TOUGH MAIN EVENT
NAWA TEXAS HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Champion NOBE BRYANT beat COWBOY ADAM to retain the belt.   Bryant forced Adam to tap out to the Sharpshooter.  After the match, Bryant resumed his war of words with Brooks.  Killer said he’s having back surgery in a couple of weeks, but, after he rehabs, he’d be happy to step in the ring with the cocky champion.

The next card is set for Saturday, September 1st, 2012 at the NAWA Arena in Waxahachie.

BIG JOHN FAMOUS beat CHRIS CROSS and ALL-AMERICAN MADD DOGG – Madd Dogg beat Cross with the Flying Spear.  As his hand was being raised, Famous charged in with his own Spear and instantly pinned Madd Dogg.  Afterwards, Madd Dogg made a challenge for a Spear vs. Spear match, and promoter Killer Tim Brooks said he would consider it.

JOE ANGELO GARCIA beat JUSTIN PAIN

NAWA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP – TITLES HELD UP
CASEY CAIN & SCOTT MURDOCH beat BARRETT BROWN & BILLY CLUB when Murdoch pinned Brown to win the belts.  Club and Andy Dalton were the champions; however, Dalton was a no-show, so Brooks stripped the champions of the titles and put the belts up in this match.  Murdoch caught Brown coming off the top rope in midair in a Power Bomb to score the pin and win the belts for himself and Cain.  Brooks signed a rematch for the next show on August 4.
