Depends on what market. DFW has NAWA, Texas Stampede & MPX. All have qualities & detriments like any show.. NAWA runs every month 1st Sat of every month & has a nice old school family type feel. Stampede runs 6-7 events annually, they have a handful of shows under the belt & have tremendous roster. MPX seems to be improving roster every show & run 2 times a month.

South texas. ACW runs anywhere from 12-15 events annually in Austin & San Antonio. They use national talent & some good texas talent, NWA Bodyslam/TWE runs anywhere from 8-10 shows annually, solid wrestling with guys & girls that are passionate about the business. BOW in San antonio seems be gaining momentum, lot of former WWE & TNA Stars on they're show. RCW has they're thing in San Antonio monthly. Houston has NWA Houston running 1 friday monthly, Booker T's show which runs I believe Monthly, And Down further is Gulf Coast which I believe runs monthly,. West Tx I would say OSW Ran by Fred Urban & NWA Top of Texas in Amarillo are your best bets. That's what I know off the top of my head. It really depends on what you like. I could give my opinion but at the end of the day, it's whatever your into. Lots of good shows in Texas that offer a variety of different things.

How times change.  Just a few years ago, in DFW, among shows regularly running, the choices would have been PCW and XCW.  Those were some great days.

Yes, I think many promotions try to replicate those 2 respective promotions instead of trying to carve they're own niche. Nobody will ever replicate that unless it's the folks who made it to begin with. Take IHW for example, Nite came on, and while he may have added a little bit of some XCW flavor, it was never meant to replicate what XCW had did, because we couldnt.. XCW Will be back in the next few months on a regular basis & it will be interesting to see what happens in this market. I think XCW Will be the show to see when it returns from it's long hiatus.

As far as DFW goes, I would recommend either Killers NAWA show or TX Stampede.

MPX needs a real booker to guide those kids. They aren't going to like reading this but it's true.

You can hire the best talent but if you don't know what to do with them the show will still be mediocre.

MPX looks cool on facebook, but most of the talent was security at PCW.

Nice looking venue and they seem to have the basic aspect of the show down.

I just dont agree with who I see in the main event's or working the "name" talent.

One of the (few) good things about not being raised here is that there is so much to learn about the different promotions / history. I had no idea about the history here - other than World Class and Mid South. I remember going thru the videos at HEB of all places, and finding some XCW vids. Didn't know who they were but anything w/ Masada was worth watching. I was blown away. Great production. Great talent. So I can see how it would very hard to replicate that quality. I  need to make it a point to start getting out of SA to see more shows. I'm missing out on quite a bit.
